BBQ Shrimp Skewers

Weber Grill Restaurant Recipe

3/4 cup WGR BBQ Spice Rub
1 1/2 cup corn oil
1/2 cup WGR Sweet & Chunky BBQ Sauce
12 (U 15) shrimp, peeled and de-veined, tail on
12 bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 24 hours

In a medium bowl combine the WGR BBQ Spice Rub with the corn oil. Mix well.

Place 2 shrimp on each skewer, going thru the tail and then thru the body section, so that the shrimp form a semi circle. Cover the shrimp with the BBQ marinade and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Cook over direct high heat for about 3 minutes. Turn the skewers over and baste with WGR Sweet & Chunky BBQ Sauce. Finish cooking until the sauce has formed into a glaze, about 3 to 4 more minutes. Makes 6 shrimp skewers.
