St. Louis Spare Ribs
ST. LOUIS STYLE SPARE RIBS
Old Glory All American BBQ Recipe
2 1/2 lb - 4 lb. spare ribs
1/2 cup Rubadubdub (or your own favorite dry rub)
1 cup water
Sprinkle dry rub liberally over the rib, coating both sides. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate 24 hours.
Remove rib from plastic and place in a shallow baking dish, bone side down. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cook for 1 hour at 400 degrees. Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees. Add 1 cup of water to baking dish and cover with foil. Cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hours more, until bones can be easily separated from meat.
Baste with BBQ sauce if desired and return to oven for 10 minutes more.
