Bread Pudding



BREAD PUDDING with Butterscotch Topping
Old Glory All American BBQ Recipe

12 eggs beaten
24 ounces Half and Half
3/4 cup brown sugar
vanilla extract (to taste no amount listed in recipe)
3 quarts bread
Butterscotch Topping (see recipe below)

Hand toss ingredients in a large mixing bowl, mixing well.  Transfer to heated cake or baking dish.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until the top is lightly browned. Pour topping over cake and let stand for 15 minutes, or refrigerate after cooking.

Butterscotch Topping
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup cream
1 cup pecans
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Melt butter and add brown sugar, cream and vanilla. Stir until thickened. Add Pecans and cool.
